It is good friends that comment on your blog; but not always easy for you to get steered in the right direction. I had a surprise late 94th birthday party up at a beautiful place near soon Scott’s home and there were about 125 grand and great children there. I had no clue as Sharon drove up last Saturday. I will get pictures to you soon., love, Ray Also my cat scan should no cancers presently showing up

      Ray,
How awesome is that that your family threw you a big party. And even more amazing that you have that many grands and great grandchildren.
Good news about being cancer free! Hope to see you in the Keys next winter. Thanks for reading my blog. I’m guessing not many 94 year olds even know what a blog is, much less read them consistently and comment too!
      I appreciate your support.

Since retirement, 3 years ago, every day is different. I try not to put more than 1 or 2 things on my calendar per day, but sometimes things come up that causes me to “play the day I am given.” I have to trust that God has a plan, and it will all work out for better. Sometimes, just like you take a bike ride to think or get peace, I take a walk or get outside. We are so blessed to have our health, and a savior who provides.

Good idea to try to keep your plate from being too full. I know it is difficult to say no sometimes, but saying yes to one thing is often saying no to yourself or those people or things closest to you. Then there are other times when it seems your day is out of your control. Hang in there and keep doing what you’re doing.

One of my authors, writing about the life of Jesus, said that He made no plans for Himself, but followed what the Father revealed to Him (paraphrased). I guess that certainly qualifies as “playing the day one is given”! Great advice, Joy! And great blog! Wish I could’ve been at your party! Keep Finding Joy!! ❤️

Wow! Yes, that would be “playing the day you are given” to the extreme!
Thanks for your support. Yes, would have been great to see you at my party, but I know you were already committed the event in Chattanooga.
Hope it went well. My party was a huge success in “My Book.” Ha! Ha!

I love it! But I’m curious — whatever happened to that printer that never got set up?

Sadly, it’s still sitting on my desk. I don’t know how to set it up.

Wow! Sandy. That’s about the nicest thing you could say to a new writer. Thank you so much for reading and for your support.
Hope you won’t have to wait much longer to read the book.
