You need Kevlar tires and inner tubes. For you, maybe a suit of armor like the knights wore for jousting? Bonus- sun protection and ready made frying pan to heat lunch. Also a mobile sauna. Negative- bake inside like, I’d say roast but you’re vegan so, tofu.

You make me laugh, Dr. Koenke! I will see if I can find a suit of armor this week.

You are a brave soul! I will try to be more aware & respectful of cyclists as I go zooming down Hwy # 1 to Marathon. Enjoy your travels!

The Keys are truly beautiful yet people often forget that there is no “ over there. “.
What is brought in from fish hooks , trash, broken sandals, etc doesn’t leave unless it is taken out. Perhaps they should be designated a National Wilderness Area that requires that everything that is brought in must be packed out by those that carried it in.
Way to go Joy in your daily rides observing all that is natural and magnificent!

Good idea, Tim. They actually have trash cans along the fishing bridge. Kind of sad that people can’t at least drop their trash in the cans on their way out. It’s nothing like riding around your cottage.

Maybe the Keys are meant for walking? Sounds like biking could be difficult! Although, I know you have a way of making your bike stationary, and you can pedal for miles while watching people on the beach or just looking at a beautiful sunset!

Just relax and enjoy! No place else like it! 🙂

Yes, lots of Walkers here. It does seem a little safer. Maybe I will bring the trainer next year.

Ha! Yes. It’s a rough life! So tough, they call it the Keyzee life.
      Thanks for reading, Ann.
