I love this story! My happy place is anywhere on water. Could be the ocean, a lake or a pool. It doesn’t matter. I can feel the stress leave my body. Something about the water instantly calms me and makes me happy! I was fortunate enough this Independence weekend to be able to spend a few hours on a boat with some friends at their lake! I’m looking forward to reading more of your stories.

Oh my gosh! I loved growing up in Indiana. Such great times when we were kids. I still love to play games and be active on the holidays with family and friends.

Joy, thank you for your post and as I read it, my imagination took hold where I can find your description of food feeding 300 football players to your competitive volleyball game in the pool where I imagine a Ted Lasso Christmas dinner party in your Fourth of July swimming pool, where instead of an array of make shift tables of an ironing board, and paddle boards as a table, all 30 guest would be lining across each other with air mattresses, noodles, lawn chairs as a table in the pool having a feast in celebrating our freedom….
My happy place is visiting my Aunt Helen, who is 102 years young who is now just 12 minutes from my home. What a blessing to be with her…..

Thank you, Joy. Sounds like you had a memorable July 4th with family. My happy place is anywhere my family is, which this year was in Kennesaw with Tim’s sister, and neices family! Of course, Christian, Melissa, and Oliver were there, which made the day. Keep sharing your amazing travels!

What a great way to look at your happy place, Sherry. Nothing like family and friends to share special occasions.
