You Can Be Remarkable!
“You can be remarkable!”
That’s what Jon Acuff told us when he took the stage at his Remarkable You live event last week. Jon says it because he believes it, but he also teaches that remarkable doesn’t happen by accident. It starts with his four-step system: Dream, Plan, Do, Review.
For five years, I have followed Jon through his own remarkable journey. In those five years, he has published five books, continued a weekly podcast, delivered 250 live keynotes, hosted two live events, completed several 10Ks and half-marathons, built a Remarkable You online community, and somehow kept his focus on God and his family.
Procrastination Proof, Jon’s eleventh book, was published two weeks before Remarkable You. At the end of day one, he stood at the back to sign books. After signing 2,000-ish books, he looked up and saw me at the end of the line.
“Joy Walker! How’s the book coming?!”
Those words—that moment—tied everything I had learned from Jon into one pretty red bow. Jon is not remarkable just because he follows his own advice to Dream, Plan, Do, and Review. He is remarkable because of how he makes people feel.
If I ever reach a modicum of success by following Jon’s plan, I hope you will remember me for the way I make you feel. And I hope that feeling is the same one I had when Jon Acuff recognized me and called me by name. Thank you for reading my blogs. You are remarkable!
Thanks for being a part of this journey!
