    Love this story.

My Santa experience was a bit different.  However wanting to see the big guy and reindeer was always my mission as well.
Santa appeared at the local Church when I was in the
Third grade. He had fire department boots on that distinctly stated F.D. on them and I recognized his voice, he was the local Preacher. I with my keen observational skills shouted out…why are you wearing fire department boots and I know you are the Preacher of this Church. Boy did I get in trouble that time over being to observant. My older brother shared the truth with me. I was devastated.

Oh, Tony. What a sad story. Thanks for sharing. And may you never get in trouble for being observant again.
Hope this Christmas brings many happy memories with your family.

Joy, my memory of our saddest and most devastating Christmas was a little bit different in one detail… I remember that I was nine years old and in third grade. You did a wonderful job retelling our story. I relived the excitement we had as we eagerly awaited Santa’s arrival as well as many other emotions that we shared that evening.

Wish we could verify the year with mom and dad. I really thought I was in second grade. My memory of the discussions with my classmates seems so vivid in my mind. Either way, it was a sad Christmas for both of us indeed. Thanks for sharing.
